I recently bought the Google Pixel 8 Pro. Now I wanted to charge it with my original 40W Huawei power adapter from my Mate20Pro. However, when I plug it in, my Pixel won't charge at all. With my Mate20Pro, charging works without any problems. Any ideas?

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro power adapter has a proprietary charging protocol (SuperCharge). This is only compatible with Huawei smartphones.
Therefore, your Pixel 8 Pro will not charge with it.
If you want to charge the full 30W, then you need a 30W power supply that supports PPS. If it only supports PD (Power Delivery), then the Pixel will "only" charge with 18W, even if the power supply supports more.
