Question about Synology Ds218+
I have the DS218 and am considering upgrading to it (with RAM expansion) because I would like to have faster access on the road with the apps and also upload/download/backup faster at home. Can anyone tell me anything about this? Merci!
Have DS218+ in use and have expanded RAM to 8 GB with HyperX Impact HyperX Impact (2x, 4GB, DDR3L-1866, SODIMM 204)

But with more RAM you won't be able to upload/download/backup faster. It makes sense to upgrade ram if you run multiple apps on NAS or run virtual machines on it.
For copy jobs and video streaming, the 2 gb is enough.
