I have a device with 2500 Ethernet, but my router can only handle 10,000 or 1000, so a direct connection of 1000 is negotiated. Am I right in assuming that a 2500 connection is possible with this switch in between (10,000 between router and switch, 2500 between switch and device)?

Helpful answer
I was able to do some research and according to the manufacturer, this model has 5x 10G ports:
5× 100Mbps/1Gbps/2.5Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps ports, auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDIX

What you have planned is therefore entirely possible. For example, you can have a 10G connection at one end of the cable and a 2.5G at the other. The throughput would then be 2.5G.
