Hello Your description says: Compatibility: (Operating system compatibility Android) That's why I bought it for my Huawei. As it didn't work straight away, after researching I read that it was only for Samsung devices? What is true now?

Hello,
the Galaxy SmartTag2 is compatible with Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Android 9.0 and higher and 3 GB RAM. The SmartThings app is also required.

Depending on your model, there could be a problem. Samsung mobiles run on Android, Huawei devices run on HarmonyOS (but there are some devices that run on Android).
