With a 10 gb router and a cat 7 cat 8 cable you can use both only the question is if your devices are 10gb capable i have a 10gb modem with a cat 3 cable but since my playstation only needs 1gb i can't give it more than it needs hence a cat 3 cable i hope was helpful

it works fine with my 10gb pc card. i don't know if it goes to 8gb every day,
but I've had transmissions at that speed.

I had two units & had to return one which was performing erratically (& then not at all). But now both are running fine although a bit hot. I could never reach above 450MB/S with my NAS. But then I'm no expert at networking ;)

In principle, yes. The problem with the switch is that it has no fan. This means that if five devices are running at full speed at the same time and the room is hotter than 30°, the transfer rate will drop. In his case, I definitely recommend a device with a fan. This has never happened to me in a room cooled to 20°.
