Hello, A Fritz! box has the "Reconnect" button. With this button you can change public IP address v4. Is it also possible to change public IP address v4 on Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro? Thank you.

Hello!
Whether the Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro has a similar "reconnect" function as the Fritz!Box to change the public IPv4 address is not directly confirmed and depends on the firmware and settings of the device.
What you can try:
* Check web interface: Access the configuration interface of your Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro via a web browser. The default IP address is often 192.168.31.1 or router.miwifi.com. Look for options such as "WAN settings", "Connection" or similar. You may find an option to disconnect and reconnect the Internet connection.
* Restarting the device: Restarting the Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro can in many cases result in the router being assigned a new public IP address by the mobile network provider. This is the equivalent of "Reconnect" on the Fritz!Box, although there is no dedicated button for this.
* Reinsert SIM card: Removing and reinserting the SIM card can also force a new IP address assignment.
* Firmware update: Make sure your Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro is using the latest firmware version. Connection management functions may have been added or improved in newer versions.
* Provider dependent: The ability to change the public IP address may also depend on your mobile service provider. Some suppliers assign dynamic IP addresses that change when you reconnect, while others may use static or less frequently changing addresses.
Important note:
* Many mobile service providers do not use publicly available IPv4 addresses for end devices such as 5G CPEs. Instead, they may use carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT), where multiple users share a public IP address. In this case, even a "reconnect" or restart would not result in a directly accessible IPv4 address from the outside.
Conclusion:
There is no guarantee that the Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro has a dedicated "reconnect" function like the Fritz!Box. Rebooting the device is the most likely method to request a new public IP address, but this depends on your supplier's configuration. Check the device's web configuration interface for similar options.
Gladly.
