Has anyone used the router only as a WLAN router without connecting it to a PC? Simply an adapter for the power supply on the USB cable. Is it possible to set up the router like this without any problems?

This is not a router. It requires a WLAN router. This device is intended for PCs without a built-in WLAN module.
