Yes, it can be done without any problems. But, Nevr-Dull cannot remove scratches, even very light ones, because it does not contain any abrasive ingredients. It is cotton wool soaked with some kind of chemicals, probably something oily. The cleaning and polishing effect presumably comes from this chemical and not mechanically from abrasive particles. Only light, superficial flash rust can be removed

with Nevr-Dull, with non-ferrous metals also light traces of patina. Nevr-Dull is mainly used for the superficial cleaning of smooth - preferably already polished - metal surfaces. On these surfaces, a really streak-free shine is achieved without much effort, with a simultaneous protective effect against rapid tarnishing. I know of nothing better for these purposes.
