Question about FRITZ! Box 5690 Pro International

Fritzboxes have a good image, I would like to include them in the next WiFi device evaluation. Fritzboxes usually have internal antennas, not external ones. My preconception is that external antennas are superior, so far I have only purchased such devices. Question for users of Fritzboxes like this one: Is the WiFi coverage flawless, despite internal antennas? Is my prejudice unfounded?

Helpful answer
Hello,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The WLAN antennas of the FRITZ!Box are optimised for the WLAN function of the FRITZ!Box.
However, the range depends on various local factors, which is why it is not possible to make any generalised statements in this regard.

You can find information on improving the Wi-Fi range of the FRITZ!Box here:

https://avm.de/service...

The FRITZ!Box is now optimally set up.
If the range of the Wi-Fi connections to the FRITZ!Box is still generally low, the cause lies in the Wi-Fi environment. In this case, you can increase the range and stability of the Wi-Fi connections by using a Mesh Repeater.

They are not bad, it always depends on the product and how many antennas are included. There are always interference factors with wireless, such as water pipes in my case (be it in the walls or the underfloor heating on several floors). I recommend using repeaters or access points to extend the reception.
