Marmitek BoomBoom 100
Transmitter & Receiver
Does this unit have an internal battery or does it need to be connected to a power source to operate? The reception distance is given as 15 m for one source. Has anyone been able to test if it really receives well at this distance?
Tested in RX mode from a mobile phone or a PC, a disaster range max 2m. It is not necessary to pass between the transmitter and the PC otherwise it will cut off. For me 3m max and very disappointed!
Bluetooth devices
Micro USB to USB cable / 80 cm
mini jack adapter cable / 15 cm
mini jack audio cable / 150 cm
Toslink audio cable (optical) / 120 cm
USB power adapter
The device must be wired to work. However, we were not able to test the maximum Bluetooth distance. This also depends on possible obstacles, such as load-bearing walls. But in an open space it should support 15m of distance as indicated by the brand.
