Do you have to have an account with Samsung? I have been using a Google account, Drive etc. for a long time. Can I also use this with Samsung?

You should definitely have a Google account. But a Samsung account is not mandatory. The Samsung account is useful for backing up mobile phone data when you switch to another Samsung. Data and settings are transferred 1 to 1. If you have a Sony mobile phone, for example, can you also have a Samsung account? Or can you only use Google.
