Could you please confirm if eSIM function is properly supported. I will need to use it when traveling in Asia (including China). I saw another comment on a similar model suggestion that there is some problem with eSIM.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you whether the eSIM is working properly. There is an option to activate the eSIM in the settings menu. If you want to switch it on, you are told that the 2nd SIM card will be deactivated. If I understand correctly, the employees can work with a maximum of 2 SIM cards.
- Variant 1 One or two physical SIM cards
- Variant 2 One physical and one eSIM
The option is available in the settings menu, as with other Android versions. I assume that it works, as this also works with other Redmi devices. To be absolutely sure, you need to contact Xiaomi.
I would like to say a few words about the smartphone. Fully satisfied to date. Does what it's supposed to, set-up and data transfer is easy if you know your way around. The camera exceeds my expectations for a smartphone in this price range. It's just a shame that it doesn't come with a charger.
