Could it be that the version with 512 GB memory has a poorer video resolution, fewer camera features and fewer sensors than the same model with only 256 GB? See product comparison... thanks for checking.

No, not as far as I can tell. I have the 512 GB version and have all the functions and sensors described for the 256 GB. You can also switch to 4K for video recording.
