Ciao together I would be really interested in the M1/M2 Macbooks, but unfortunately I am pretty sure that the Macbooks with the M1 & M2's are not suitable for my project. I would have to run VMware vms on the Macbook with Windows10 &11 and Ubuntu. The problem is they are not ARM operating systems and I can't switch to them. Is virtualisation of non-ARM Windows versions still possible?

Hello,
I have a MacBook with M2 and VMware Fusion 13 on it.
This makes it possible to run only ARM versions in conjunction with the M1/M2 processor. An x64 VM cannot be started.
I don't see any chance for your project if you want to use M1/M2.
Then better fall back on an Intel MacBook...
I also have an iMAC 27, the last of its kind with Intel - I run my VMs on it - ESX, Server OS, Windows 10/11, so

everything that is x86 and x64.
