Can Digitec supply me with a replacement battery for the Fairphone 5 ? Fairphone 5 switches itself off and has to be restarted several times a day. - Problem since commissioning - Only switches off if the device is not used for a short time - Never switches off when device is in use or on charger Spent several hours trying to solve the problem. Tips from forums: - Deactivate 5G mobile network (without success) - Remove SD card (without success) - Replace SIM card with eSIM (without success) - Replace battery (not possible, replacement battery apparently not yet available anywhere) Tips from Fairphone Support: - List with many measures worked through (without success) - I would like to avoid the last point, a total reset, so that I don't have to set everything up again. A total reset would be very problematic for me because a complete reinstallation associated with a great deal of time. I use the device for business and private purposes all the time. Instead of a total reset, I would like to use a different battery to rule out this source of error. A replacement battery should be easily available for an explicitly sustainable and repairable Fairpone 5 should be readily available Can Digitec send me a replacement battery?

Helpful answer

Hi
I'm also looking for batteries for the Fairphone 5 on a weekly basis - but for a different reason, I just want to have a backup battery. Fairphone itself doesn't offer any on their website yet. I think they will only become available once most of the smartphones have been sold. Although the Fairphone easily lasts a day - I always have at least 50% left in the evening - I want to be able to fall back on a second battery.
Regarding your problem: I would return the Fairphone as a warranty claim. It hardly seems to be a battery problem. You still have a long warranty and should make use of it. I hope you enjoy your new Fairphone

My Fairphone 5 is not causing any problems. It works perfectly.
