5G, Volte and VoWifi abroad with Pixel 8. Hello everyone. Can anyone report how the Pixel 8 behaves abroad? Do you have advanced calling and 5G as soon as you cross the border or does it fall back to 2G/3G when calling? I don't just mean neighbouring countries, but also those that are further away. Would be good to know. Thanks in advance.

WiFi calling would be technologically possible, but is restricted by the supplier in each case. Sunrise, for example, does not allow WiFi calling in roaming networks. In general, WiFi calling is less dependent on the device than on the supplier... check the FAQs of your supplier. I recommend you buy data PrePaid on site and make calls via a VOIP function or a messaging app (Threema, Whatsapp).
