3. Poynting XPOL-2-5G
The XPOL-2-5G is Poynting's V3 of the third generation of this very popular cross-polarised (XPOL) mobile radio band 2x2 MIMO antenna. The antenna housing looks virtually the same as the second generation V2, but has been completely redesigned inside. Poynting has utilised advanced metamaterial technology, using artificial magnetic conductors (AMC) and a patent-pending radiator configuration that demonstrates exceptional improvements in bandwidth and gain. The radiation patterns of this antenna are exceptionally well controlled, further enhancing the antenna's performance.
The XPOL-2-5G antenna includes the 3400 - 3800 MHz bands not previously covered by the V2 and is suitable for 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. This antenna performs exceptionally well in the following frequency bands: 698 - 960 MHz, 1700 - 2170 MHz, 2300 - 2700 MHz and 3400 - 3800 MHz. In addition, the gain at 1700 MHz and 2.7 GHz over the same frequency bands is about 3 dB higher than with V2. The V2 antenna already outperformed most competitors in these bands, so this significant improvement in gain demonstrates the benefits of the advanced materials and radiator design.
So if it was a car, Poynting installed a technology engine that produces twice the power under the bonnet - it may look the same, but just wait until you switch on the ignition.
