It features a "dual-boot" function that allows you to choose which operating system you want to use: RouterOS or SwOS. If you prefer a simplified, pure switch operating system with more switch-specific features, use SwOS. If you are accustomed to Winbox and want the ability to utilize routing and other Layer 3 functions on some ports of your CRS, boot and use RouterOS.
