The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is impressive. Compared to its predecessor, the Mi Mix 2, the dual camera on the Mi Mix 2S has significantly improved according to initial user feedback. On the software side, the gesture control is a plus for the large, nearly bezel-less 5.99" display (18:9, 2160x1080 pixels). The Mi Mix 2S also boasts powerful hardware, featuring a Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with Adreno 630 graphics technology. With 6 GB of RAM, it is designed to be both powerful and energy-efficient. Supported by a robust 3400 mAh battery, this means long usage times without needing to recharge, despite the large display. The vertically arranged 12-megapixel dual camera with 4-axis image stabilization captures photos that are brighter and more expressive than its predecessors. Additionally, the integrated artificial intelligence (AI) allows the camera to recognize scenes with animals, food, plants, sunsets, and much more. Last but not least, the ceramic design and the 2.5D display glass with its narrow edges give the smartphone a great feel.

Das Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 hat den Reiz des Besonderen, bleibt aber eine sehr günstige Alternative zu den Top-Smartphones. An der Hardware gibt es nichts zu bemängeln, doch für das "randlose" Display und die Frontkamera gibt es inzwischen bessere Lösungen. Und auch bei der Bildqualität der Hauptkamera bleibt das Mi Mix 2 hinter den Flaggschiffen von Samsung, Apple, HTC oder LG zurück...
