The compact charger is plugged directly into the socket and has an integrated LED that indicates the charging status. Both AAA and AA rechargeable batteries can be charged. The charger can also be switched off independently of the charging status using the safety timer. The charger also has other safety technologies such as minus delta V switch-off, detection of bad cells and alkaline batteries, protection against incorrect polarity and short-circuit protection.
