The RXD1219sas is a 2U expansion unit that automatically powers on when connected, effortlessly increasing the storage capacity of your Synology server. By directly connecting via mini-SAS HD cable, you can add up to 12 additional 2.5"/3.5" SAS bays while the system is running. Designed for maximum reliability. The redundant power supply ensures maximum service availability. If something does fail, you can immediately swap out the hot-swappable drives at any time. Since key system components are modular, SAS modules and system fans can also be easily replaced. Data transfer at the highest speed. Mini-SAS HD allows for high-bandwidth connections for maximum throughput during data transfer between the Synology server and RXD1219sas. This way, the drives connected to the RXD1219sas operate like internal drives of the Synology server, without latency in data access.
