Nokia Lumia 920
32 GB, 4.50", 8 Mpx, 4G
I have now tested it for 2 months and I think it's great.
Unfortunately, it still has a few things that are a little immature, but in the 2 months I've had the phone so far, a lot of things have already been fixed.
Regular updates from Nokia are really nice :) I don't know that at all from my old Android.
I haven't had any problems with apps so far (point: not available...).
Offline navigation has also proven itself, especially on foot in a foreign city (where you would actually need the navigation the most!).
Very good smartphone. This is my first smartphone that I have owned for a year and a half now. I use it a lot and I appreciate it more and more with each Windows Phone update that adds welcome new features. I know the iPhone well because I've used it often but I prefer Windows Phone because I find it nicer to use.
In short, it's very good for photos and video. The screen is sublime but with the curved glass on the edges, it scratches quite quickly (my case does not protect the screen).
I have had a bit of everything. At the beginning it had a very good autonomy then after one or two months it started to heat up regularly and the autonomy became mediocre. After installing the preview of the Windows Phone 8.1 update this problem disappeared and I got back the original battery life of the phone.
What I regret on this model is that there is no 64GB version or SD card slot. As a result, I couldn't put all my music on it.

I have had the unit for a month now and would like to make the following assessment:
+Display (Excellent and very readable in strong light).
+Windows Phone 8 (very nice, stable and fast interface)
+Design
+Workmanship (much better than Iphone, SGS3 etc.)
+Battery (if you turn off the 3G or 4G when you don't need it, the battery lasts easily 4-5 days.
+Nokia services (Very good and helpful Nokia apps and camera extensions).
+Camera
+Supplied headphones
+Xbox Music (find any song I'm looking for) and Xbox Games
+Browser
+Synchronisation, works with practically everything, bluewin, gmail, exchange, with Gmail all calendar entries incl. contact list are synchronised in realtime
+LTE
+Indestructible with normal handling

- App Store
All in all, a very successful device that I would recommend to anyone. Had no trouble at all using the device when I first set it up. I've had the full range of platforms. BB Torch, Iphone 4S, SGS2, SGS3 then Lumia 920. I hesitated for 2 months because of the Windows phone 8 appstore but when I went through my app list I was pleasantly surprised, 70% of the apps I found again in the store and bought the device immediately the following day. This was the best decision I have made in a long time. In addition, the store is being expanded little by little. I have never been as satisfied with a device as I am with this one. So far, there have been no crashes like with Android, BB OS or IOS, the device is very fast, and the Win interface is awesome. In addition, the device itself is a real eye-catcher;) the device is definitely a device that is intended for men, purely because of the design, size and weight. The weight is not to be taken negatively at all, it makes the device look really valuable.
I would buy it again and recommend it at any time. I am already looking forward to the successor;)
So finally got mine a week ago.... After waiting for 3 months prepaid...
But great device. Super fast and the camera is really good. And the design of Windows Phone can't be topped. I switched from Android (galaxy S2). Of course you can do a lot more bells and whistles with Android, but do I want that?
stockmaster: stop talking such nonsense you probably don't own such a device. Go to an iPhone forum and you'll find the same problems.
I can say this: Bluewin / gmx / Hotmail / and gmail work perfectly for me.....I see no problem at all here!!!!
The workmanship of the device is top notch. All columns are the same, nothing creaks, etc....
5 stars
First Windows Phone for me, I find it very simple, fast, aesthetic, beautiful! I really enjoy using it.

I've owned the Nokia for a good 10 months now, and I don't regret my switch from iOS one bit,
I don't miss anything with WP that I didn't have with iOS, on the contrary. The WP OS is even much nicer and simpler. My opinion ;)
The phone is simply top. I've already dropped it dozens of times. The display has been repaired twice and it still works like it did at the beginning. That's what I call real workmanship. Too bad WP is still not very well received by most :(
I will definitely stay loyal to Nokia from now on. The 2520 will also be ordered :)
+ camera. Still the 2 best in the mobile phone market!!! after the 1020
+ Display! Who needs Full HD ? I see absolutely no difference!
+ Sofware!!!!!!!! Free Navi (don't need to buy an extra Navi for min. 100 CHF) and Nokia Music of course! etc etc
+ Div Fuetures like glove operation, inductive charging etc etc
+ Runs absolutely smoothly (no jerks noticed to date! on the HTC One with Quadcore, however, it does, hmm
- WP still has room for improvement in some places (multitasking)
- The high weight might bother some people, but it doesn't bother me.
I just say, Nokia keep it up!!! The 1520 and 1320 are top devices again.
I've had the nokia for almost 2 months now. At first I was sceptical about the weight, but you quickly get used to it.
Since the last windows update and with proper termination of the apps, the battery lasts easily 2 days, and then there are also times a movie about dlna in the network.
The navigation system is sufficient for my purposes. I'm glad I don't have to install an additional device in the car, apart from the costs.
And wp8 is ideal as an os. Should have switched from android to wp8 much earlier.
I have many years of experience with organisers and mobile phones. Starting with Psion, HP iPac, and Android devices.
I have decided to switch from Android to Windows Phone 8. I should have taken this step a long time ago!
I am thrilled with my Lumia 920, very fast and reliable. With the Android device, I had to remove the battery and reboot at least once a week after hang-ups. That has never happened to me with Windows 8 Phone.
I am also surprised by the variety and continuously increasing number of apps. With the exception of a "Jass game", I have found all the apps I used before.
I've had it since the beginning of December 12 and I'm happy with it.
There are actually only good things to report about the phone, except for the weight, which at 185g is rather a heavy competitor in the smartphone market.
I would recommend the L925 today - technically at (almost) the same level, but 50g lighter and slimmer.
Otherwise, however, a good, solid smartphone that deserves a clear buy recommendation.
(1 star deduction because of the mentioned weight)
A smartphone with a memory that cannot be expanded is simply unusable.
Display and sun? So it does work! More than just readable...
As should be known, W8 is simply productive...
and when I look for the charger after two days...
Moderately happy. My old Nokia E7 was much more stable. The Nokia crashes frighteningly often, logically always when you need it urgently. It also surprisingly doesn't have all the Outlook functions (e.g. Notes), although everything comes from the MS kitchen. Apart from that, it's good. If you need it for work and don't depend on the latest game apps, you'll get by just fine. Reception seems better than the smartphones of my friends and acquaintances.
iPhone 5 64GB, Galaxy S3, HTX One X+, Sony Xperia Z
Those were the last phones I had, randomly I wanted to try the Lumia 920, and luckily I did !
+ Perfect workmanship !
+ The best display ( natural / perfect lighting )
+ Very fast system
+ Very intuitive
+ / - the weight is at the limit....
Would buy it again immediately !!!
Final score *****
Super smartphone, finally a new, fluid design throughout the system. Despite the fact that there are not too many apps yet, the existing ones are of a very good quality. It's a lot of fun to work with the device.
Please ignore stockmaster's criticism. of course you can synchronise outlook. i have a bluewin address myself. No problem. But you just have to know how! I've had the device for 2 months and like it.
I am very satisfied with my Nokia Lumia 920. I will only buy Nokia smartphones - especially with Windows Phone!
first of all: yes you can set google as default search engine in the browser, yes you can import contacts from google account, yes you can use any mail address (tried gmx, hotmail and gmail so far) and yes the appstore is sufficient...
pros:
-operation
-camara (with background blur etc really extremely good)
-continuous design even with apps from third parties
-easy backup in skydrive (nothing was lost when I did a recovery even google was still set as default search provider --> except the start screen had to be reset)
-brilliant app for guitar friends :PP
-easy payment of the applications through paypal
-you can test almost all applications
-battery loses almost no capacity when the display is switched off
Cons:
-poor battery life when bluetooth, tab and send etc. are turned on
-make playlists via mobile phone and do it quickly : FEHLANZEIGE
-very close macro shots: no chance (but you can't expect them to be)
-Yes, closing applications is a real disaster (provided you don't get used to pressing the back button when you close the application).
Conclusion: despite the cons, it's still the best phone i've had so far ... but i had mostly smartphones in the middle price segment... All in all i am very satisfied and can't imagine a better smartphone at the moment, at most the blackberry z10 (negative: battery (according to tests)) or xperia z / zl (fullhd display if that doesn't go on the battery too) :DD
The phone is an absolute disaster! Go to the forums and read about email connectivity. It doesn't work unless you are on MS Life. You better be on bluewin or somewhere else. No email synchronisation, only error messages. How can you bring such a product to the market. I have to go back to my Nexus so I can work.
Also, you can't sync your Outlook directly. Can't; only via the cloud. Such bullshit not even MS goes to MS.
Great device
I've had it for a week now and I'm really excited about it. I'm especially surprised at how smoothly it works, so my "old" S3 will probably be sold.
There are still 1-2 small things that need to be improved, but the device is great and above all stable. It's supposed to survive a fall without any problems, which is unfortunately no longer common nowadays.
And since I own a Windows RT tablet from ASUS, I won't be getting anything else in the household any time soon :-)
I've had my Lumia 920 for a week now (bought in Germany) and I'm totally satisfied. The PureView camera performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions - in broad daylight it is rather average, but I have read that this is probably due to the software and that Nokia should release an update to improve it. The comparison with the Lumia 900 shows that apps can be opened much faster (especially Whatsapp and Facebook). The display is extremely sharp and operation with gloves works relatively well. NFC tests with GS3 also worked.
I have not yet been able to try out wireless charging.
Nokia Maps now also offers indoor maps of Swiss shopping centres and Nokia Drive is still an excellent navigation device (now with selection of fastest route, shortest route and criteria).
As the OS is still relatively new, not all apps in the store are updated. But that will surely come soon =)
What I like most, however, is Xbox Music. The streaming service (comparable to Spotify) works smoothly and has recognised all my music on my Windows 8 computer and made it available on the phone.
The finish with the polycarbonate looks sleek and elegant, but I guess that's a matter of taste. Just like the size and weight. Personally, I prefer a slightly heavier device, so I have something in my hand.
+ Nokia (offline) Maps and Nokia Drive
+ PureView Camera
+ Smooth performance
+ Office 2013 mobile
+ Skydrive, Facebook, Twitter integration
+ NFC
+ Touch sensitivity adjustable
+ Xbox music
- Vibration relatively loud
- limited availability of apps at the moment
- Storage space not expandable
All in all, I am very satisfied with the device. In my opinion, it deserves the flagship title.
4/5 stars, because despite convincing software and hardware, there is still room for improvement.
I don't think I know..... WinPhone 8 is very good and the top Nokia services (free music streaming with fast access, Maps, Exchange compatibility, ...) are sophisticated. Since I have been in the WinPhone environment (first Lumia 900) I no longer have duplicate contacts and appointments on my Exchange server.
The Lumia 900 has already survived various "case studies" and I have never dropped the 920 on the stone floor. When the 920s are available in Switzerland, I'll get a second one for my wife.
Phone very good
Battery power sufficient
The battery lasts barely 24 hours even under minimal load.
Great smartphone! WP8 is great. Bought mine yesterday on ricardo for 599.- :)
