I have now tested it for 2 months and I think it's great.
Unfortunately, it still has a few things that are a little immature, but in the 2 months I've had the phone so far, a lot of things have already been fixed.
Regular updates from Nokia are really nice :) I don't know that at all from my old Android.
I haven't had any problems with apps so far (point: not available...).
Offline navigation has also proven itself, especially on foot in a foreign city (where you would actually need the navigation the most!).
Very good smartphone. This is my first smartphone that I have owned for a year and a half now. I use it a lot and I appreciate it more and more with each Windows Phone update that adds welcome new features. I know the iPhone well because I've used it often but I prefer Windows Phone because I find it nicer to use.
In short, it's very good for photos and video. The screen is sublime but with the curved glass on the edges, it scratches quite quickly (my case does not protect the screen).
I have had a bit of everything. At the beginning it had a very good autonomy then after one or two months it started to heat up regularly and the autonomy became mediocre. After installing the preview of the Windows Phone 8.1 update this problem disappeared and I got back the original battery life of the phone.
What I regret on this model is that there is no 64GB version or SD card slot. As a result, I couldn't put all my music on it.

I have had the unit for a month now and would like to make the following assessment:
+Display (Excellent and very readable in strong light).
+Windows Phone 8 (very nice, stable and fast interface)
+Design
+Workmanship (much better than Iphone, SGS3 etc.)
+Battery (if you turn off the 3G or 4G when you don't need it, the battery lasts easily 4-5 days.
+Nokia services (Very good and helpful Nokia apps and camera extensions).
+Camera
+Supplied headphones
+Xbox Music (find any song I'm looking for) and Xbox Games
+Browser
+Synchronisation, works with practically everything, bluewin, gmail, exchange, with Gmail all calendar entries incl. contact list are synchronised in realtime
+LTE
+Indestructible with normal handling

All in all, a very successful device that I would recommend to anyone. Had no trouble at all using the device when I first set it up. I've had the full range of platforms. BB Torch, Iphone 4S, SGS2, SGS3 then Lumia 920. I hesitated for 2 months because of the Windows phone 8 appstore but when I went through my app list I was pleasantly surprised, 70% of the apps I found again in the store and bought the device immediately the following day. This was the best decision I have made in a long time. In addition, the store is being expanded little by little. I have never been as satisfied with a device as I am with this one. So far, there have been no crashes like with Android, BB OS or IOS, the device is very fast, and the Win interface is awesome. In addition, the device itself is a real eye-catcher;) the device is definitely a device that is intended for men, purely because of the design, size and weight. The weight is not to be taken negatively at all, it makes the device look really valuable.
I would buy it again and recommend it at any time. I am already looking forward to the successor;)
So finally got mine a week ago.... After waiting for 3 months prepaid...
But great device. Super fast and the camera is really good. And the design of Windows Phone can't be topped. I switched from Android (galaxy S2). Of course you can do a lot more bells and whistles with Android, but do I want that?
stockmaster: stop talking such nonsense you probably don't own such a device. Go to an iPhone forum and you'll find the same problems.
I can say this: Bluewin / gmx / Hotmail / and gmail work perfectly for me.....I see no problem at all here!!!!
The workmanship of the device is top notch. All columns are the same, nothing creaks, etc....
5 stars
First Windows Phone for me, I find it very simple, fast, aesthetic, beautiful! I really enjoy using it.

I've owned the Nokia for a good 10 months now, and I don't regret my switch from iOS one bit,
I don't miss anything with WP that I didn't have with iOS, on the contrary. The WP OS is even much nicer and simpler. My opinion ;)
The phone is simply top. I've already dropped it dozens of times. The display has been repaired twice and it still works like it did at the beginning. That's what I call real workmanship. Too bad WP is still not very well received by most :(
I will definitely stay loyal to Nokia from now on. The 2520 will also be ordered :)
+ camera. Still the 2 best in the mobile phone market!!! after the 1020
+ Display! Who needs Full HD ? I see absolutely no difference!
+ Sofware!!!!!!!! Free Navi (don't need to buy an extra Navi for min. 100 CHF) and Nokia Music of course! etc etc
+ Div Fuetures like glove operation, inductive charging etc etc
+ Runs absolutely smoothly (no jerks noticed to date! on the HTC One with Quadcore, however, it does, hmm
- WP still has room for improvement in some places (multitasking)
- The high weight might bother some people, but it doesn't bother me.
I just say, Nokia keep it up!!! The 1520 and 1320 are top devices again.
