LG G3
32 GB, Gold, 5.50", Single SIM, 13 Mpx, 4G
I am satisfied with the device, my expectations were clearly exceeded.
Super performance (no jerks in the 32GB variant), brilliant screen, sufficient original accessories available, good camera, countless options for customisation.
I hope that LG will roll out software updates faster than 2 years ago.
Addendum 28.12.2014
Android 5.0 Lollipop installed via LG Mobile Support Tool. Didn't think LG would roll out the update so quickly.
Procedure for the update:
- Select the G3 on lg.com
- Click on Product Support
- Click on Software Update
- Download/install USB driver
- Download/install LG Mobile Service Tool
- Connect phone, start update

Without a doubt the best smartphone I've ever had.
The display has a great picture, good readability and is very scratch-resistant.
The battery life is easily enough for a day's surfing. The user interface seems very well thought out and you quickly find your way around.
Despite its size, the LG G3 fits comfortably in the hand and can also be used one-handed thanks to the possibility of adjusting the keyboard (and moving it to the left or right).
The operating system runs smoothly and crash-free for me.
In contrast to various other Android devices, high-quality snapshots can be taken with the G3. The camera focuses very quickly and takes comparatively good photos even in poor light.
The workmanship is exemplary. No cavities, no creaking, everything fits. The device feels very valuable in the hands, and the weight is also right.
The only (subjective) negative point is that the navigation buttons are a little too high up on the touchscreen. However, their arrangement and shortcuts can be changed as desired.
All in all, I strongly recommend buying this device, which offers unbeatable value for money.
Incidentally, Android 5.0 Lollipop has already been distributed to G3 users in some countries.
Switzerland should also be served before the end of December.

Hello
The initial anger about the LG3 is gone.
The SIM card reader DEFECTS on the first day.
Apparently self-inflicted.
ATTENTION: Do not use a SIM adapter?
According to MT, the repair would have cost me approx. 350 francs, which I refused.
I then had it repaired in Germany for a measly CHF 52.40.
For me it is the best Samrtphone I have ever had.

Best smartphone I've had so far.
Long battery life, cool big screen with high resolution ready for the future. Care was taken not to make the case too big.
All in all, beautifully designed.
In contrast to other smartphones, it has 3GB of RAM (most only have 2GB) and you notice a clear difference.
Laser focus works great. The camera takes extremely sharp and, above all, fast photos.

I've been using the phone for a week now and can't understand the negative ratings and problems. The brightness control is normal and I have never experienced overheating.
+ Form factor: Hardly any frame
+ Display: Simply amazing
+ Battery: Very economical, especially without the display activated.
Another tip: If you want to prevent automatic downshifting, you can do so in the service 3845#*855# (without root or the like).

The slim design has a nice curve making it fit nicely into pockets. The Screen is stunning and is perfect to watch movies on, especially when paired with the expandable microSD slot. Tap to wake feature is a must now and I find myself tapping my other phones (which doesn't work) as a natural reaction. The button placement is also something all phones should have. Easy control is you pocket, and the best is that you don't mistakingly hit the power button when engulfed in games and movies. Finally the icing on the cake is the battery life. I haven't yet had a problem with low battery in all situations of heavy use. You can swap out the battery if you won't have a charger for a while too. Also the camera is amazing, have stopped using my digital camera as a result.

After a few days with the G3, here's my short review. Last year I had the Xperia Z, HTC One, Galaxy S4 and most recently the G2. So I think I can judge objectively. The G3 is hardly noticeably larger than its predecessor, and it feels very good in the hand. The workmanship is absolutely top, despite the removable battery cover nothing creaks, no gaps or similar. I really like the back compared to the G2, it's much higher quality. The display is good. A little less bright and gaudy than the G2, but I find it more realistic. You can tell it has an extremely high resolution. The battery lasts a little less than on the G2. However, it's still good enough for a day for me. I'm sure I still have 20% battery in the evening. As with the G2, I find the camera very good. I was also surprised by the speaker. It has a decent quality and is really loud. For me, the G3 is the best smartphone at the moment ;)

I've had the G3 for a month now. Overall, I am very satisfied! The LG scores points in terms of design, performance and workmanship. As a long-time Galaxy user, I can only say that I don't miss any of the features of my Galaxy models. With the LG G3, everything seems tidier and the performance is also better than with the Galaxy models. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time, except power users might reach the limits. Here are 2-3 scenarios:
Few users: It consumes practically nothing in standby and the battery lasts 2-3 days with a display on-time of approx. 1h!
With medium use (Whatsapp, mail, music), display on-time of approx. 3-4h, it lasts 2 days.
Power users (Whatsapp, mail, streaming, gaming, music, video) have to plug in again after 6-8 hours (depending on display on-time).
--> High consumption during gaming and 4K recordings!
For me, the LG G3 is the perfect all-rounder! Despite the Quad-HD display, the battery lasts quite long. If you want a longer battery life for continuous use, you should wait for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or have a spare battery with you ;)

Had the LG G2 (predecessor) before and have been a big LG fan ever since. The G3 has exceeded my expectations by far! The battery lasts LONGER than the G2 (which is already a monster) despite the QHD screen. I haven't noticed any lags so far. The double tap always works without exception, the screen is the most beautiful screen I have ever seen on a smartphone, the camera is simply amazing and the UI is extremely well thought out and pleasant.
To all users who report lags or want to increase their battery life:
Enable ART in the developer settings (instead of Dalvik).

Having had a Galaxy S4 and a Galaxy S2 as my last smartphones, I have to say that LG far surpasses Samsung's range. Design wise, nothing to say, the plastic back mimics metal very well and allows the phone to be lighter and the battery to be changeable.
For performance, those 3GB of RAM make all the difference for me. The screen is great. The battery lasts a lot. On the software side, the overlay is the best I've experienced, you can even uninstall some system apps. It is very customizable.

All in all, it's the best mobile phone I've ever had. Innovative details such as the SMS pop-up or the Quickcircle cover set it apart from the rest of the IOS and Android boredom.
***Warning, I apparently had the same bad luck as my "previous poster".
Especially with this phone, never use a nano-SIM in the adapter! This is 90% certain to destroy the SIM card reader.
The luxury repair (new mainboard, cheaper would be new SIM card reader), of course not under warranty, costs the owner 348.95.- plus shipping costs there and back.
It is therefore pointless to send in the device with this defect for repair if you do not want to spend over 350.-. If you do so anyway, you will pay a total of 63.- to get a defective mobile phone back.

Super mobile phone. The display is super sharp and huge and feels great in the hand. The only problem is the UI speed, which is a point off. Sometimes it lags and seems a lot less fast than an M8, for example. It also jerks in certain games. I hope LG optimises this with an update. Otherwise a super part

The first smartphone that excites me enough to give it a rating. The 5.5 inch display is perfect for people who write a lot of emails.
The Android used is not a stock version (like the Moto X), but it is very easy to root the device, and LG's theme overlay is much less "bad" than Samsung's Touchwiz, for example. This means that a custom ROM is much less of an option.

I've had the LG G3 for 2 weeks now.
I am thrilled with this smartphone. That's why I don't understand the negative reviews.
I can give it an absolute recommendation to buy.
The battery is very economical, especially in standby mode, and the display is amazing.
Because of the pixels it displays (QHd display), it's not quite as fast as a Galaxy S5,
but you can get over that. The camera is also very good.

Simple operation paired with enormous power.
OS appears tidy and is easy to use. Individualisation options for almost everything.
Everything runs smoothly and roundly (no jerks even during heavy use).
Ambient noise during calls is well suppressed or minimised.
Unfortunately, the sound of the built-in speaker does not come close to that of the HTC M8, but that does not matter to me because I listen to music via external speakers (headphones).

The LG G3 is an absolutely awesome phone. I think the display is absolutely killer! When you play the pre-installed video on it, you get a sharpness that is unrivalled. Not too strong colours or unnatural contrasts. The future belongs to the LG G3. LG has responded to the customers of the G2 and has ironed out the weaknesses with a lot of attention to detail. The camera replaces any small compact and takes very beautiful and colour-true pictures. The operating system is very simple, so it doesn't take much time to get used to it. It is very customisable and not too cluttered. The build quality is also impeccable and it's a pleasure to hold the G3 in your hands.
For me, the best android smartphone at the moment.
LG keeps up the good work.....
Also a compliment to digitec. You are friendly and everything always works smoothly.
Thank you very much.

Super mobile phone - the best I've had after Nokia, IPhone and Samsung. Many settings, great screen resolution, can be charged wirelessly and the battery lasts much longer, which is what you can read in the reviews.

I am very satisfied with the LG G3! The device is beautifully and cleanly finished and looks quite classy, especially in gold but also in black. Like the Galaxy, the menu is very clear.
The display is simply brilliant and the photos are still super sharp on the PC and have very natural colours. (I took the same pictures with the Galaxy S5 for comparison, the Sony Xperia Z2 can't keep up anyway in terms of image sharpness). However, when many photos are loaded into albums, it takes a little longer than with the Galaxy S5 because of the high resolution. In my opinion, the LG G3 surpasses the Galaxy S5 because 1. it has no annoying buttons on the side edges and 2. it also looks much nicer, more interesting and classier. Now the matching FlipCover should be delivered soon so that the device stays beautiful for a long time. (also in gold!)

Hello together
+ I am very convinced of this new mobile phone. The quality is good and the performance meets my requirements. So far, no jerks or hangs and no crashes either.
I personally like the design very much, although the button on the back is probably more a matter of taste.
- The only negative point I noticed was that when I watch a video on the video player, I can't fast-forward... only via the arrow keys (keep pressed) but the speed is minimal.
Other players like youtube or streaming sites work without problems!
4-5 stars from me for this mobile phone!

Exactly...it was really worth the wait!!! And a compliment here to Digitec regarding pricing; the subscription extension with the 32GB model cost me 129 francs (Swisscom Infinity S)...at Mobilezone it would have been 229 francs for the 16GB model...Well, after Galaxy S, S3 and S4 I decided on the new G3 and I don't regret it for a second!!! The G3 is simply brilliant. Easy and fluid to use, great features like QuickSlide or the SmartKeybord...great camera...battery also top, speakers tiptop and then the display and the design - simply HAMMERMÄSSIG and SPITZENKLASSE!!!! The phone fits perfectly in the hand and feels just great...Well done LG !!!!

Top mobile phone, got it on Friday and so far completely satisfied. Runs very smoothly, the interface is simple. Also very welcome in comparison to Samsung: when I start the smartphone for the first time, no LG service is forced on me as is the case with Samsung. The display is brilliant.
At first I was wondering whether to go for the 16 or 32GB version. The fact that apps can only be installed on the internal memory made the decision easy. I also added a 64GB SD card, which also runs perfectly.

One of the best smartphones I have used so far. Great design. I previously had the HTC One and the LG G2. This smartphone takes it to the next level. Extremely sharp and clear display, the battery easily keeps up with the LG G2 and the new Android 5.0 is also great. Despite the 5.5" display, it's not too big and feels good in the hand. I was already very satisfied with the LG G2. Now I am thrilled with LG. No negative features so far. And at such a price. Total buy recommendation on my part.

Interface (I don't like the interface of any phone unless it's stock Android)
Minor lags in between ( can be fixed with an update )
As for battery life : Bought on Saturday , charged and just connected to the charger at heavy use! Will mean phone calls, surfing, email, Youtube and sound ( and gaming! ) Listen, so with me the battery definitely holds more than 1 day through! It depends on the settings!
At the moment I don't have more to say except : Pretty AWESOME PART! I will find more cons, except for the interface, which I don't really like (I am a branded stock Android fan).
