JBL Boost TV

Very good product. Used for my home cinema (15m2 room). The sound is good for dialogue and even for music.
- The sound is good for dialogues and even for music, but lacks a bit of bass, but without a subwoofer it's normal.

From the special offer price two years ago (Fr.99) up to Fr. 299. I think Digitec is really cheeky!

Fulfils its function perfectly
In a Kassensturz test last year, a JBL soundbar was the test winner. So I thought that this small soundbar couldn't be bad either. Actually, you shouldn't buy a TV that doesn't have at least one front-facing speaker. But manufacturers are now focusing on slim design, and so an entire industry has profited from the fact that the speaker quality of TVs leaves a lot to be desired.
With its 35 cm width and attractive design, the JBL Boost TV is absolutely recommendable.
Installation is very simple. Plug in the power cable, connect with jack plug 3.5 mm (headphone socket) or optical and off you go. If you also want to listen to music from your portable device, a Bluetooth interface is available.

The device cannot be paired with the new devices such as JBL Charge 4. To do this, you would have to update the old devices via an app, but the Boost TV cannot be connected to the app!
very good product nice sound check the review on youtube

I connected the JBL Boost TV to an LG PF 1500G projector, whose audio quality is far below the video quality. With this add-on, we have for a reasonable price a much better sound quality.

Good sound. Used for watching TV.

If you don't want to spend an exorbitant amount of money to improve the sound quality of your TV, this compact soundbar is a good choice. Dialogues are very well understandable, even if the sound reproduction is not of hi-fi quality. The switchable virtual surround effect is also ok, even if it doesn't really fill the room. This 2.0 stereo unit has trouble reproducing films in 5.1 sound format. But this is probably a problem with 2.0 systems in general. (It's a shame that there are DVDs and Bluerays that only play 5.1 sound).

It does what it is supposed to do. With an equaliser, the thing would be top.

Looks cool and has a good price-performance ratio.
Unfortunately, the sound performance is not so optimal when the signal comes via the cable. The sound is great via Bluetooth.

It's good for rather small rooms. Not enough powerful bass for my large living room.

I bought it second-hand because it was a bit cheaper and I was looking for a cheap speaker for my workshop. It is connected to my PC via a 3.5mm jack, but most of the time I listen to music via Bluetooth, which works without interruptions and with very good sound. The volume is great and even when it gets louder, it sounds very clean and pleasant. It's just a shame that it doesn't have deep bass, but generally I'm happy with it.

Worked like expected. Good song and ergonomie. Correctly synced with my TV remote-control of a Bravia Sony TV screen. Quality is full and with good bass song. Easy to connect with other Bluetooth devices like iPhone.

Fast delivery and top product at an absolutely reasonable price! Thank you!
It's ok, the frequency response is not at its best for frequencies corresponding to men's voices (e..g. not optimum for listening speeches).. otherwise it does its work.
Overall quite good for its price.
The speaker was a temporary solution because my soundbar with subwoofer stopped working. Of course, without a separate subwoofer, the bass sounds meagre, but the rest of the sound was crystal clear and, although this soundbar is not as wide, the virtual surround sound works very well.
Another plus point is that the speaker is capable of learning, which means it can learn to read the TV remote control and apply commands like on-off or volume up/down as well. This means that you hardly ever need the loudspeaker remote control.

Excellent price/performance ratio. Especially when you compare this speaker with pure Bluetooth speakers. After all, the system can also be used as such (without TV). Sufficient for TV sound in normal-sized rooms. A bargain for this price.

Good sound! We are very satisfied with the "small" speaker.

I had previously used a Samsung Soundbar 2.1 with 350W power and took it down again because it was too big, too ugly and had too many functions.
I am fully satisfied since I paid 99CHF.
For 199CHF I would probably reconsider, but it wouldn't be a bad investment.

Actually, the JBL Boost TV is a BT speaker with digital input and the missing decoder for surround formats. However, the leine Boost boosts quite nicely and improves the sound of the TV significantly (the brands that advertise good sound with flat TVs are deceiving the customer :) )
For me, the Boost fits wonderfully in front of the TV - but I would be careful, depending on the height of the TV, it may cover part of the TV (height 8.4cm).
