The best
Taste and colour aside, I find Apple's leather cases to be the best. I've dropped my iPhones quite often, as I think most people do, and so far I've never broken a screen since I've had an iPhone.

Partially protects, sometimes falls off the grid, Thin screen protection.
I had the 12 Pro Max before, and I had the Apple silicone case first. The silicone case was of such poor quality that I switched to the leather series, which at least didn't have the problems that the silicone cases had. With the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone didn't fall out or fell out less often. Now I have this leather case; with the front display, the protrusion is so small: as soon as the iPhone flies onto the front side, it can have a hole or two. I have now bought a RhinoShield case, which holds my phone reliably in the case, but has a wide gap between the front display and the top, or there is an edge. I can't recommend this case, not even if it's from Apple.
