It is indeed the case that the A77II has no GPS. Instead, it has a new CMOS sensor with better image quality, faster autofocus (new module with more points) and Wi-Fi (incl. NFC). However, the housing is apparently no longer sealed against splash water and dust.

The lenses of the A58 are compatible with this camera. Both cameras have a Sony alpha lens bayonet. In addition, both have an APS-C sensor, which means that the focal length of the lenses does not change.

Is compatible. The A500 and the A77II both have the Sony A-mount.
