Yes, the Pure Elan Connect Radio can be connected to Wi-Fi. It supports connection to a Wi-Fi network via WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), which simplifies the setup process, especially if the Wi-Fi router is WPS-capable.

Unfortunately, the radio does not have a reset function. Are batteries or rechargeable batteries still inserted? If so, I would remove them and insert fresh ones. If that doesn't help, it seems to be a warranty case.
no, unfortunately this is not possible and therefore much too bright at night :(

Unfortunately not.
The louder you set them, the faster the batteries run out. These small AA batteries have far too little capacity to power a loudspeaker for a long time. The standby screen shows the time, date and any active alarm times. The radio cannot be powered by batteries.
I don't know what the surface is made of, but I haven't had this product for very long. The surface is (still?) OK. I am otherwise very satisfied with this inexpensive radio.
