Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter

The adapter is supplied with 5V power via the USB connection. Either the TV has a USB connection (which also provides a power supply, this is not always the case and should be printed on the socket), or else you have to use a separate power supply unit as is usual with smartphones, etc.. A USB extension cable is also necessary if the 230V socket is far away.
Unfortunately, we cannot find any information on this.
Yes.
Win 7 not with a Lenovo but with HP all that is necessary would be 1x HDMI & USB on the TV / beamer as well as a software that can access the stick on the TV / beamer for Lenovo (hope that heals and the link is not deleted) the software would be there: http://support.lenovo.com/ch/de/downloads/ds028697 (32 and 64 bit)
Clear. The adapter connects to the device not via Wifi, but via Miracast. The device (tablet, notebook, etc.) should support Miracast/WiDi.
Yes, the USB port is only used for power supply. See also: https://www.microsoft.com/surface/de-de/support/music-photos-and-video/wireless-display-adapter (Try the following if the device you are connecting the adapter to does not have a USB charging port: Connect the USB plug of the adapter to any other USB charger).
The adapter works with my Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 (Windows10 Home).
