Hello Sitcom, you won't have any problems, the backpack fits perfectly in the hand luggage compartment. I've already flown on holiday with this backpack: Swiss, Edelweiss, Singapore Airlines, Thai airways, etc.

Can I put a 14p laptop in it?

Helpful answer

Lowepro's Flipside 500 AW II backpack is designed to hold a 15-inch laptop, but there's no specific mention of it being able to hold a 14-inch laptop. However, given that 14-inch laptops are generally smaller than 15-inch laptops, it's likely that a 14-inch laptop will fit in the dedicated compartment, but it would be wise to check the exact dimensions of your laptop for optimum compatibility.

The inside dimensions are known. I had the first version of this backpack. You get what you pay for. The back was so soft that I felt every piece of my gear in my back when fully loaded. I took some measurements of the backpack. The shoulder strap is pretty much exactly 6.5cm wide, depending on how tightly you press it flat. Unfortunately, I don't have such a clip, so I can only use the belt measurement.

Hello Axonteer I use this backpack for my everyday equipment with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens mounted on an SLR camera and 3 other compact lenses and that is rather the limit for this backpack in terms of size. For the Sigma 150-600 it is rather small and the lens will probably not fit mounted on the camera. (For my Nikon 200-500) it was too small and too impractical. However, telephoto lenses mounted on the camera and other lenses fit easily into the backpack of 450 or 500 Lowepro backpacks.

There's no problem with that. I have a Pentax K-1 with a 14mm Samyang, 24-70mm and 70-200mm Sigma lens including filters and other accessories. All this has room in the Lowepro Flipside 200.
