yes, they are waterproof, how long and how deep i don't know. i always wear them when sup riding and have fallen into the water a few times and they still work perfectly and hold very well on the ear. they might not be suitable for swimming because the bluetooth connection doesn't work under water, but that's probably the case with all bluetooth devices. you'd rather have headphones with their own memory for the music.

The Bluetooth connection of the JBL Endurance Peak 3 earphones operates in the 2.400 GHz to 2.4835 GHz frequency range. Although the exact specification of the range of the Bluetooth connection is not explicitly stated, Bluetooth 5.2 devices, such as the Endurance Peak 3, typically offer a range of around 10 metres (33 feet) in ideal conditions, but this may vary depending on obstacles and the environment.

JBL's Endurance Peak 3 has a number of features that may meet your needs, but with some limitations: ## Waterproofing - The Endurance Peak 3 earphones have IP68 certification, which means they are dust and water resistant. They can be submerged to a depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes, making them suitable for wet activities or for rinsing out after a workout. ## Comfort and fit - The earphones are equipped with a TwistLock™ system and a Powerhook™, which ensure a comfortable and secure fit in the ear, even during intense activities. ## Swimming use - Although the earphones are waterproof, they are not specifically designed for prolonged swimming. However, for occasional swimming sessions (3-4 times a week), they should be robust enough to withstand water. In summary, the Endurance Peak 3 earphones are suitable for occasional aquatic activities, offer a good fit in the ear and are waterproof, but it is important to dry them after each use to maintain their durability.

The headphones are IP68 protected. The IP ("Ingress Protection") protection class is made up like this: The first digit defines how resistant a housing is to foreign bodies - there are six gradations (higher = better). Here, "6" means "dustproof". The second digit defines how waterproof an enclosure is - here there are eight gradations (higher = better). "8" means "protection against permanent submersion". But beware, this is usually based on a water pressure at a depth of 1 metre. Source: https://praxistipps.chip.de/ip68-schut... So yes, you can also go swimming with it :-) JBL itself writes the following on its website: "With an IP68 rating, the JBL Endurance Peak 3 earphones are ready for your most active adventures, rain or shine. And they can last 30 minutes in water up to 1.5m deep, whether it's salt or fresh water. So you can surf with your earphones or rinse them off after a workout, hassle-free."
