The headphones are IP68 protected.
The IP ("Ingress Protection") protection class is made up like this:
The first digit defines how resistant a housing is to foreign bodies - there are six gradations (higher = better). Here, "6" means "dustproof".
The second digit defines how waterproof an enclosure is - here there are eight gradations (higher = better). "8" means "protection against permanent submersion".
But beware, this is usually based on a water pressure at a depth of 1 metre.

So yes, you can also go swimming with it :-)

JBL itself writes the following on its website:
"With an IP68 rating, the JBL Endurance Peak 3 earphones are ready for your most active adventures, rain or shine. And they can last 30 minutes in water up to 1.5m deep, whether it's salt or fresh water. So you can surf with your earphones or rinse them off after a workout, hassle-free."

I hope this helps you and have fun swimming!
