We confirm that it is indeed 2 years and not 5. We thank you for taking the time to write to us about this and will adjust the description accordingly.

Hello, I have e/os on my fairphone 6 and it works perfectly. I put e/os on shortly after the phone came out and it wasn't so easy to install (I had to install manually from the command line). An installer seems to be available now which should make installation easier. My advice would just be to pay close attention to the bootloader lock conditions mentioned in the e/os instructions. I nearly bricked my phone by re-locking it, so I'd advise leaving it unlocked after installation.

Unfortunately, I have to confirm this. Exactly the same for me. I'm only an indirect Sunrise customer because my provider Quickline uses the Sunrise network. I also raised a ticket about this a good month ago. I'm still waiting for an answer or solution today. In my case, it's not the cellar, but an obviously weak reception at my place of residence in combination with a glass/concrete building, which further weakens the signal. I only have some reception in my flat with Salt. WLAN (Internet) works perfectly, but WiFi call does not. This is also a no-go for me, especially in the year 2025. In this case, Digitec should at best include a note about this problem in the functional description of this device so that other buyers don't run into misery. For me, there are only two options in this case: Change provider or change device. It's very uncool that buyers of more durable devices are being penalised.

Does the Fairphone 6 LE support audio?

avatar

The Fairphone 6 supports audio via Bluetooth, USB-C and a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter, but does not have an integrated 3.5 mm headphone jack. Bluetooth LE Audio is supported by the Fairphone 5 with Bluetooth 5.2, no clear information is available for the Fairphone 6, but it uses Bluetooth 5.4, which could in principle enable LE Audio. The Android 15 firmware on the Fairphone 6 does not currently support audio sharing (Auracast). In addition, the Fairphone 6 does not support the ASHA protocol for direct audio streaming to cochlear sound processors.

The Fairphone 6 supports a physical nano-SIM and an eSIM at the same time, so you can use two numbers from different suppliers in parallel, similar to a dual-SIM mobile phone. However, there is only one physical SIM slot, the second number runs via the eSIM. Which number is considered the "first" is freely selectable and can be defined in the settings. The eSIM is not actually linked to a physical card, but is provided by the supplier as a digital code (e.g. QR code) that you download and activate on the device. This allows you to save several eSIM profiles, but only actively use one at a time.

2 x yes: FP6 runs in the Sunrise network and for me FP6 displays the following text on Sunrise: SIM 1 is VOLTE capable. PS: I could no longer make calls via Sunrise with my Nokia before I changed my mobile.

Useful yes, but for listening to music... I would say no. Just tried it out, it doesn't sound good, tinny. But is a telephone loudspeaker usually unsuitable for that? It's more of a hands-free device.

The housing has been redesigned and the back plate can now be removed with two screws, allowing access to all internal components. The camera lenses look the same at first glance, but they have also been revised and have a different design.

The Fairphone 6 has 4905 mAh, your Realme has 6500 mAh. Despite the smaller battery, the Fairphone 6 easily lasts a whole day in everyday use, often 1.5 days, and around 6-8 hours with intensive use. The difference to the Realme is noticeable, but not dramatic, as energy management and efficient hardware make up for a lot.
