Could it be that the USB-A ports are not supplying power? When I try to connect my old Apple Superdrive, I get a message to that effect.

Hello, I believe that this device has a special requirement for the connection and therefore cannot be operated on all connections. according to https://support.apple.com/en-us... * If your SuperDrive doesn't respond when connected to an external display or USB hub, connect your SuperDrive to a USB port directly on your Mac.

My mobiles draw a lot of power (iPad Pro, ext. SSDs). A simple docking station behind the CalDigit is not enough for iPad AND T7 SSD. The G-Tech G-Raid is also not accessible on the iMac, it is not mounted at all. Can I also connect two CadDigits in series? Will the power then be sufficient?

With my Mac it worked without any problems. I had problems with HP and an HP Thunderbold docking station. Didn't recognise the Element. But maybe I have overlooked something. Under Windows you have to unlock Thunderbold devices, if I remember correctly.

Hello I would like to buy the CalDigit Element Hub, but certainly not at almost 500.- CHF!!!! Why are there these enormous price fluctuations (between 259.- and 450.- CHF)???

This is due to the fact that we were still able to purchase this item through a supplier until the beginning of July. At present, only a third party dealer offers this product. We have no influence on their prices. Therefore, there may be differences between our prices and those of our marketplace dealers.
