Whether for FTTX, building, or campus cabling: the carefully selected tools assist you in preparing fiber optic cables for field-attachable connectors, fusion splices, mechanical splices, or for repairing existing fiber optic lines. The components of the kit have been thoughtfully chosen and assembled to be practical for the fiber optic installer. The fiber optic tool kit combines all steps for processing fibers in a compact set. For stripping the outer jacket of drop or micro/mini blown cables, the Miller MB06-7000 bundle cable cutter is available for outer jacket thicknesses up to 6.4 mm and features a longitudinal slit function. A proven Miller pliers is used for stripping the 3 mm protective jacket and 900 μm secondary coating. The NetPeppers OFS31 fiber optic precision stripper is used for removing the 250 μm primary coating. In addition to scissors for removing the Kevlar braid, the package includes cloths and an alcohol spray bottle to clean the fiber before termination. For safety during processing, there are tweezers and a sealed disposal container for fiber remnants. At the end of the termination process, the installation can be checked for errors using the VLP50 visible laser light source.
