IronKey Vault Privacy 50 is a premium-class USB flash drive that offers top-level enterprise security. The VP50 series features FIPS 197-certified AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode, protection against BadUSB through digitally signed firmware, and defense against brute-force password attacks. The flash drives in the Vault Privacy 50 series are also TAA compliant.

The administrator can enable user and one-time recovery passwords or reset the user password to restore data access. Protection against brute-force attacks locks user or one-time passwords after 10 consecutive incorrect entries and encrypts the drive if the admin password is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row.

To guard against potential malware from trusted systems, both the administrator and the user can switch the flash drive to read-only mode; additionally, the built-in virtual keyboard protects passwords from keylogger and screenlogger malware.
