Product details

This adapter serves as a port doubler for structured twisted-pair cabling. Since only two pairs of wires are used for a 10/100 Mbit LAN connection (1-2 and 3-6), while the RJ45 port in the socket is typically occupied by all four pairs of wires, this adapter allows for cable splitting. This means that two network cables can be combined into one. With a second adapter at the other end of the doubled cable, the signals are redistributed to two ports. This means that two adapters are required for this connection.
