Light rays reflected from a surface become polarized, and polarization filters allow you to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and more. Additionally, colors can appear more saturated and clearer with better contrast. This effect is often used to enhance contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. Hoya's polarization filters do not affect the overall color balance of an image.
