Product details
Spectrum S-Flex 98A Filament – Flexibility with Excellent Impact Resistance and Thermal Insulation
Spectrum S-Flex 98A is a filament based on thermoplastic polyether polyurethane. In the field of additive manufacturing, S-Flex 98A is characterized by a relatively simple and trouble-free 3D printing process. An additional advantage that allows for a perfect print is the excellent adhesion of the first layer of the produced part to the build plates, regardless of whether they are made of glass, steel, plastic, or another material.
Highest Print Quality
Low processing waste and very high flexibility reduce the risk of edge curling in produced parts. The distinguishing feature in the name of the filament – 98A – refers to the hardness of the material on the Shore scale, placing S-Flex 98A in the category of hard elastomers. This property decreases the risk of filament deformation in the filament feed system into the print heads, allowing for somewhat faster printing compared to other flexible elastomers.
Pronounced Resistance
Additively manufactured S-Flex 98A parts exhibit very high hydrolysis resistance, good recyclability, and excellent durability against dynamic stresses. Thanks to these properties, it is possible to produce 3D-printed parts that protect surfaces exposed to impacts, sealing and protective elements with high chemical resistance, as well as thermal insulators.
