Fanless operation
The X435 series switches support fanless operation, making them ideal for classrooms, retail locations, or other noise-sensitive environments, especially outside the wiring closet.

Flexible PoE
The standard-based 30W PoE ports of the X435 can power Ethernet-connected edge devices like IP phones or wireless APs without the need for additional electrical cabling. Fast and continuous PoE capabilities also help accelerate the startup of powered edge devices and minimize disruptions during a reboot of the X435 switch.

Fabric Attach
Fabric Attach on the X435 can be used to automate the connection to Extreme's campus-based Fabric Connect solution. Fabric Attach enables zero-touch edge deployment and allows the X435 to leverage the virtualized services and inherent security features of the Extreme Fabric Connect infrastructure.

Role-based policies
The X435 supports role-based policies that are centrally managed through the ExtremeControl policy manager. This policy framework allows network administrators to define different roles or profiles that can represent specific operational groups within an organization. Each defined role can then be granted individual access to specific network services or applications.
