With Power over Ethernet, you can power compatible devices over the network cable. This significantly reduces cabling effort for end devices such as wireless access points, IP phones, and IP cameras while providing high flexibility in device placement. 802.3at PoE. The IEEE 802.3at standard provides a maximum of 25.4 Watts of power per PoE port with a voltage of up to 50 volts. The standard assumes that after line losses, 21.90 Watts of usable power remain or can be drawn to avoid exceeding the maximum power output. For PoE, a Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100 m is recommended.
