New interviews, old advertisements, historical artifacts, and much more have been researched and presented in the signature style of Digital Eclipse. Highlights of the new timeline include an in-depth look at Stern Electronics' robot-exploding Berzerk, unusual and underrated innovations, as well as hidden gems from the late 1980s. A spotlight is on artist Evelyn Seto, who helped develop the iconic Fuji Atari logo, Pong creator Al Alcorn, who explains the origins of Breakout, and an exploration of the role of the fan community in uncovering unreleased prototypes, developing homebrew games, and preserving Atari's history.

The timeline of the first console war, which features 20 playable games and half a dozen video segments, tells the story of the first major console war in the gaming industry between the Atari 2600 and Mattel's Intellivision. The Digital Eclipse team explores the rivalry, including Mattel's bold decision to develop games for the competing Atari 2600. Highlights include a selection of M Network games, including some fan favorites, a mix of Atari and M Network sports games, as well as some rare Atari 2600 and 5200 prototypes.
