The HP 1950 Switch Series consists of intelligently web-managed Gigabit switches with 10 GbE uplinks designed for small businesses that require advanced, high-performance connections. The series includes two standard models and two PoE+ models with 24 and 48 GbE ports, each equipped with two 10GBASE-T and two 10G SFP+ high-bandwidth ports.

True stacking of up to four devices allows them to be managed logically as a single unit. The switches support static Layer 3 routing for IPv4 and IPv6.

Advanced features include ACLs, 802.1X, STP, RSTP, and MSTP. The limited lifetime warranty covers the unit, fans, and power supplies.

Each model in the HP 1950 Switch Series includes four 10 GbE connections for connecting to servers, network storage devices, or other switches. Two 10GBASE-T connections deliver 10 GbE performance over Category 6a copper cables for simple, cost-effective high-bandwidth connections over a maximum distance of 100 meters. Two SFP+ ports enable fiber connections over various distances at 1/10 GbE speeds with optional SFP+ 10 GbE or SFP Gigabit transceivers. Aggregated 10 GbE connections provide even greater bandwidth with Link Aggregation Control Protocol.
