Vor allem aufgrund einer sehr guten Bildqualität verdient sich der Acer H9505BD eine gute Note im Test. Weiterhin ist die Ergonomie ordentlich und auch mit der Ausstattung kann man sich arrangieren. Dennoch ist am Ende der Preis etwas zu hoch, zumal die Verbrauchswerte zu wünschen übrig lassen.
Der Acer kann als solider Einsteiger gewertet werden denn für das große Heimkino reicht er allemal aus. Allerdings ist die Farbwiedergabe nicht natürlich und auch die voreingestellten Modi sind alles andere als perfekt. Dennoch ein ordentliches Gerät mit eingebautem Medienplayer, der via USB angesprochen werden kann.
Durch die sehr hohe Helligkeit der Lampe ist das Aufstellen des Gerätes auch in hellen Räumen kein Problem. Zwar steigt dann der Stromverbrauch aufgrund der hohen Lichtleistung aber grundsätzlich ist das Bild speziell im 3D Modus mehr als gut. Die Menüführung könnte aber ein Update vertragen.
