The new X40 Ultra Complete robot hoover even cleans under the furniture thanks to its extendable brush. The second new product from Dreame cleans even better - but you do some of the work.

Do you prefer manual or fully automatic cleaning? Hoover specialist Dreame presents two top appliances, the X40 Ultra Complete and the H13 Pro, which don't make the answer to this question any easier.

The new robot hoover offers more convenience than ever before - but is quite expensive in comparison. The wet and dry vacuum cleaner, on the other hand, has more power and costs only half as much - but you also have to do some of the work. I'll introduce you to the two different concepts here.

X40 Ultra Complete: Mops are cleaned with hot water

The new Dreame flagship vacuum robot is called X40 Ultra Complete. The model will be launched on the Swiss market in mid-May at a price of around 1400 francs. In Germany and other European countries, the official retail price is around 1500 euros.

The X40 Ultra Complete includes everything you would expect from a top model. It vacuums, damp-mops the home, empties the dust in the base station and fills up with clean water and detergent.

The special features of the robot: The round mops are cleaned in the base station with water heated to 70 degrees before being dried with hot air. If the X40 needs to vacuum carpets, it drops the two mops in the station and deposits them there. This means that high-pile carpets can also be vacuumed without the mops dragging on them.

Corners and edges are cleaned particularly well as the X40 Ultra Complete can extend and lift the side brush. It can also fold out one of the two mops. This allows the robot to even mop a few centimetres under deep furniture. The suction power of 12,000 pascals is significantly better than that of its predecessors. The winner in our comparison test, the Dreame L20 Ultra Complete, for example, "only" has 7,000 pascals.

H13 Pro: Vacuum cleaner that also picks up wet

If you want a really clean home and are prepared to do the work yourself, don't buy a robot, but a combination appliance like the H13 Pro. With a suction power of 18,000 pascals, the cordless vacuum cleaner with a running time of 40 minutes achieves significantly more than the X40 Ultra Complete. Even the finest dust is sucked in.

You can also use the same device for wet recording. A water tank is integrated, which continuously moistens the roller. The big advantage over a conventional mop: dirt, grime and liquid are absorbed immediately. This means the floor is not wet after cleaning, but only slightly damp.

If the brush gets dirty, it is automatically washed in the base station with water heated to 60 degrees. The roller is also washed at the very end of the cleaning process and then dried with hot air.

The H13 Pro will be available in our shop in a few days, with a starting price of 549 francs or 599 euros in the EU.
