Before you buy new boots, you should check out this styling trick
Do your boots need an update? Then rummage through your jewelry box before you go looking for a new pair.
Autumn is boot season. And with the change of season, many people also feel the urge to change their wardrobe. But I plead: resist the temptation to buy a new pair. At least until you've checked out this trick. It takes surprisingly little to turn old boots into something supposedly new.
A brief excursion into the accessory boom
The fashion wisdom "accessories make the look" should be familiar to most. In recent years, it has been put into practice with particular enthusiasm, one might almost say obsessively. The desire to decorate is no longer limited to the classic suspects like ears, fingers, and necks. Even toes are considered worthy of decoration again.
But the decorative surface of the human body is limited. So, our possessions soon had to serve as well – above all the handbag. Gradually, smartphones, sneakers, and the like also became targets of our decorative frenzy and were diligently adorned with all sorts of knick-knacks.
Admittedly, this can take on quite wasteful proportions. But the desire to decorate also holds the potential for the exact opposite: namely, to turn something you already have and have grown tired of into something supposedly new.
Old boots, new playground
If you still remember the introduction after this excursion, you might now be asking yourself: And what does that have to do with boots? Well, they are excellent as a playground for exactly this type of styling. Their decorative potential has been relatively little exploited so far, so decorated boots look correspondingly fresh.

For example, just try wearing anklets over your shoes or wrapping a necklace around the shaft. Bandanas and scarves also look pretty when you tie them around the boot. If you want, you can additionally decorate the whole thing with a brooch. The possibilities are endless.
I would say: rummage through your dusty jewelry box, the chaotic drawer, or pilfer your dog's old leather collar to use as a decorative buckle. Let yourself be inspired by your knick-knacks. You might even find new pleasure in an accessory you had long since written off.
