Android 13: This is Asus' roadmap for Zenfone and ROG Phone
The Zenfone 9 will receive the update to Android 13 in December. The Zenfone 8 and several ROG phones will follow from 2023.
Asus has announced its roadmap for Android 13 on Twitter (1|2). The manufacturer will provide its smartphones with the update from 2022 and 2021.
Zenfone 9 kicks off
For the gaming smartphones, the details are less concrete, or cover a larger timeframe. Android 13 is due to be released in the first quarter of 2023 for the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro, as well as 6D and 6D Ultimate. ROG Phone 5 and 5s are up from the second quarter of 2023.
Asus does, however, add a caveat to the timeframe, saying that the schedule could vary depending on the region and external circumstances.
