There is no laser inside those devices. Laser is a monochromatic light (one wavelength) . Here it's intense pulsed light (IPL), which is used in those devices, And it's more like a big flash in the visible spectre of light. Devices are often fitted with filters to remove the most damaging wavelengths (for example UVs). It's still bad for the eyes, but not as dangerous as laser.

This device won't emit a flash if the head of the device is not in contact with the skin. There are no glasses in the box.
