Dear Knudel, I don't think that's necessary, such a blade lasts for years, e.g. my last razor lasted about 12 years, you also write here self-sharpening and regarding cleaning simply under the water. Although you can certainly remove the blade, it won't be necessary for years to self-sharpen (I don't know exactly how that works), but it certainly won't be necessary with mine.not with this type of razor, there are also the Philips round ones that have to be changed or the ones that are similar to a hand razor, but this one is, I will certainly leave it on until the razor is broken like last time.
