Only distilled water, no additives

The water tank is made of plastic. However, it is very stable and I have not had any bad experiences with the product so far :)

It is recommended to use water only. The steam is relatively hot, so oils are not recommended.

The manual says destilled water. But as i don't use it often, i put tab water and clean the water tank. Looks fine to me.
